Trocar
A Trocar is a specialized medical instrument commonly used in surgical procedures to create access points into body cavities, particularly during minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopy. It typically consists of a sharp-pointed obturator fitted inside a cannula, allowing smooth and controlled penetration of tissues.
Once the initial entry is made, the obturator is removed, leaving the hollow cannula in place to provide a stable channel for inserting surgical tools or endoscopic equipment. Trocar devices are designed to ensure precision, reduce tissue trauma, and maintain patient safety during procedures.
